Car Mate is a universal vehicle scanner that operates in compliance with the OBD2 standard. The companion app is compatible with both WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 LE adapters.

Requirements:
<ol>
<li>You will need an ELM327 Bluetooth 4.0 LE or WiFi adapter to establish a connection to your vehicle through this app.</li>
<li>Some vehicles may contain multiple ECUs (electronic control modules), so ensure to inspect all ECUs.</li>
<li>It is advisable to avoid ELM adapters version 2.1 due to the risk of potential corruption; opt for version 1.5 if available.</li>
</ol>

Quick start guide for ELM327 adapters:
<ol>
<li>Download the app.</li>
<li>Insert the ELM327 adapter into the 16-pin diagnostic connector in your vehicle.</li>
<li>Turn ON the ignition.</li>
<li>In the app settings, locate your WiFi or Bluetooth ELM adapter.</li>
<li>Select the identified ELM327 adapter and click 'Connect'.</li>
</ol>

You can utilize the Car Mate application for scanning and diagnosing vehicles using either a WiFi ELM327 or BLE ELM327 adapter.
